I hope someone can make this clear to me. I want to be able to use a laptop to access WiFi when I’m away from home. I want to be very sure that I don’t buy the wrong laptop. I will only be on the road about one month this year. I have been told that a "built-in wireless LAN" means that I can access WiFi hotspots without any other equipment. True?

No Comments »nuking my pc and starting over
August 26th, 2009 jedwan i have had the geek sqd fix a hp pc twice now….it is again infected. how can i completely nuke the hard drive and reinstall a 4 year old verson of XP? i have tried to load the xp disc in the recovery mode, but it gives a message that it can’t load. can i just old school the hard dirve via the ms dos format command and start over?

August 23rd, 2009 jedwan I am looking for a laptop for me and me wife. I cannot decide on the Dell or the Asus. I will be web surfing, light gaming and some word processing. I want something to replace my desktop. Does Best Buy do warranty service for Dell or Asus. I have read some people think Asus product support is better than Asus offers a 2 year warranty. Any advice would be appreciated.

August 12th, 2009 jedwan ive been looking into buying this laptop mainly because it was cheap and has been listed for 1149.99 dollers on best buy’s website for a few weeks now. even on c nets review of this laptop it says that best buy is selling it for 1149.99. but when i went on to the website today i noticed the price is now 1299.99 a 150 doller raise. is this true? or is it a just a wrong price they messed up on.

August 10th, 2009 jedwan How do I know if I only got a free trial with my new Asus? The description online, when I bought the PC, said it came with Works 9. But now it’s asking me for a code when I’m using Word and I’m reading online that I probably have a free trial and not a full version, so I’ll have to buy the full version. That’s a little frustrating since I assumed it came with it (was a selling point for me).
