Just bougth an HP Mini Netbook – seems that the battery is either 1) Inserted incorrectly (cannot imagine how, it just clicks in); 2) Will not take a charge; 3) Battery indicator does not indicate there is a battery, or I guess 4) Battery is defective. Any clues/suggestions? Thank you!

August 29th, 2009 jedwan Hi, I have a Gateway M-6750 and the multimedia control panel is not working and also the touch volume on top is not working. However, the mute button on top does work. It’s strange. If you could help me figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it, I would be very grateful.

August 27th, 2009 jedwan I recently purchased an HP DV4. It qualified for the Win upgrade since it has Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Could someone tell me how to do that? I remember seeing somewhere that HP will send discs by mail. But how does HP know my address? Do I need to requerst it? Or better yet, can I download it from somewhere? Thanks for your help.

Well, now we get to find out how much faster and better it really is. Snow Leopard (Mac OS 10.6) makes its debut this week with many tweaks and enhancements. Apple’s focus was on making Leopard — already a good thing — better, not just on adding new features. The refinements have reduced Snow Leopard’s footprint to approximately 5GB, less than half of the disc space needed by its predecessor. There is a brand new finder, 64-bit support, Open CL technology, brand new and streamlined Quicktime player, faster and easier installation, and numerous other performance-boosting enhancements. Snow Leopard is available in both single-computer and family-pack versions, depending on how many Intel-based Macs you have in your household. My copy’s already ordered! You should get yours too.

August 26th, 2009 jedwan So I bought my PS3 about 6-8 months ago I think. It has been awesome and never really had a issue with it. August 12th, 2009 jedwan i bought two acer laptops for me and my brother. i opened up mine and registered for win7 and registered his before opening it. turns out when he came back from his trip he wanted a laptop with eSATA and HDMI so i returned his unopened box. just today as i was registering an MSI laptop he bought from JR.com that i alrady did a win7 upgrade for him (but from that Acer laptop).  i don’t want bestbuy or acer coming back at me in 2 months when win7 comes out. do i just let this go or do i have to call up acer or bestbuy and have them cancel the registration for the returned acer laptop? or will they just send me that copy anyways?
