Here is my problem, I have a friend who used to have his flat screen tv hooked up as a monitor to his windows xp home edition and it worked fine he plugged it in and it came right on just had to change the display settings. Well he switched to xp pro and when it plugs in and fires up the computer it displays the windows xp pro screen and then gets weird and no screen. Is there anything I could do to get it to recognize the tv like home did?

August 26th, 2009 jedwan i have had the geek sqd fix a hp pc twice now….it is again infected. how can i completely nuke the hard drive and reinstall a 4 year old verson of XP? i have tried to load the xp disc in the recovery mode, but it gives a message that it can’t load. can i just old school the hard dirve via the ms dos format command and start over?

August 26th, 2009 jedwan So I currently have a Mac Book Pro. I am a college student and need something a little more compact. So I began looking into a netbook (one of those mini ones that weighs less than 3lbs). I found one that I really like; Acer, 160gb hard drive, 1gb memory (expandable to 2 gb), and really affordable! So, my current Mac has 250gb hard drive, 4gb memory, but is really heavy. I looked up my usage, and I am using 59gb of hard drive… so why wouldn’t a netbook work for me? I spoke with a representative on the phone and they said netbooks would not work for homework… why is that? All i would use it for would be microsoft word, excel, powerpoint, internet, and itunes…. Someone help me….

August 23rd, 2009 jedwan Hi there. I am trying to buy a laptop for my self, and I plan on using it for more or less entertainment/gaming purposes. I was planning on installing W.o.W and Photoshop and other things, but when I was looking at the site, it had two different types of laptops; Gaming and Entertainment. I don’t really understand the differences between them, and what seperate uses each one holds. Can anyone please clear this up for me?

August 23rd, 2009 jedwan I am looking for a laptop for me and me wife. I cannot decide on the Dell or the Asus. I will be web surfing, light gaming and some word processing. I want something to replace my desktop. Does Best Buy do warranty service for Dell or Asus. I have read some people think Asus product support is better than Asus offers a 2 year warranty. Any advice would be appreciated.

August 19th, 2009 jedwan I am almost finishing off paying off my previous purchase (xbox 360 with games and accessories) I need help deciding on what to purchase next lol. I need a new fridge and a new tv. Not sure what I should get. August 18th, 2009 jedwan Hi i have a short question, is it possible to buy the Iphone 3Gs 16gb in a BestBuy Store in California without any contract, or with an prepaid-/to gocard ? I´m just asking for it, because i´m from Germany and in 2 weeks i will spend my holidays in Los Angeles and San Francisco. And in some German Community’s i ´ve read that its possible to buy it without a contract. And is it right, that the sellers only need an address, for example from my hotel? August 16th, 2009 jedwan I have a few questions. 1st, i’m eligible through AT&T for an upgrade so if i go into Best Buy will they honor the upgrade and give me the upgrade price? @nd, it says on the Best Buy website (which i know is a third party) that the phone i want to upgrade to is free with a new two year contract. So my question is if the actually phone is free with the two year contract does that mean that i walk out of the store with a free phone afteer signing a two year contract extension or is there fees to go along with it like an activation fee or some other silly fee? Any help would be great.
