I bought two phones last year and this month one phone got lost and one phone fell in the toilet when I tried to get replacement phones through the Best Buy insurance I have been paying for, for over a year, the sales rep told me that they only cover minor repairs to the phone and I was out of luck.   That is the exact opposite of what they told me when I bought the phone.   I have always paid for $4.99 for the AT&T insurance for all my phones, except these two phones I paid the $6.99 for the Best Buy Insurance because when I bought the phone they told that is would cover EVERYTHING, lost, stolen, water damage, basically anything.   The sales person told me that you could drop the phone in a cup of water and it would be covered (which my cousin has done in the past).   When I called the Roseville store the sales rep told me that the store is aware that the sales people were lying to everyone last year and that I am not the first person to call with this problem, but there was nothing he could do!!!!   I GOT COMPLETE RIPPED OFF.   Now I have to pay full price for two new phones because Best Buy talked me into buying their insurance instead of AT&T.   BEWARE DON’T BUY INSURANCE FROM BEST BUY IT DOESN’T COVER ANYTHING AND IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY .   The At&t insurance is cheaper and covers everything.   At&t also recently opened a replacement store in the Arden area and you can go it and get a new phone in 15 minutes with no hassle.
