How do you make money from your mobile phone without calling anyone?

Mobile Phone
Schmendrick asked:

I have a friend who says he makes good money in his spare time (in waiting rooms, during sporting events, sitting on the couch, even during bathroom breaks!) on his mobile phone. He won’t tell me what he does (I guess to keep competition down) but he has told me that he doesn’t call anyone (he just taps… I think he’s accessing web sites), it’s perfectly legal, and it isn’t eBay. Does anyone know what this is?? I’d LOVE to be able to make money from my cell phone! (well, without calling anyone.)

HELP!
