To accompany its Winter Olympics graphics last month, NBC used photos of ice crystals formed on the inside of a storm window of an Arlington house. They had been taken by Doc Searls, who posted them on Flickr, a photo hosting Web site, and all Searls wanted was credit for having taken them.

Police tracked down and arrested two burglary suspects with the help of a K-9 unit on March 8. The suspects were located in the 4300 block of Forest Avenue S.E. According to the police report, both suspects were associated with a vehicle reported stolen in Seattle.
