If you think about it, you have orders of magnitude more processing power in your mobile phone than they did in the whole space craft!! Incredible!

I’m not sure what is the big issue is with someone reaching an understanding and being man enough to admit an error. In fact that kind of bravery should be commended.

The surface speed of any man or vehicle of any planet is determined apart from the engine power by the friction, air resistance against it and the force of gravity, that is toward the planet, moon etc.
If an F1 car was to to go to the moon on a smooth road surface (assuming it had an oxygen supply), it would be blistering quick accelerating, due to no air resistance. To make it go quicker remove as much weight as you can like they do on Earth to shed weight.
I knew that to begin with. I was asking the question to a person that said the moon has no gravity.
The moon has approximately 1/6 of the gravity present on Earth. The moon’s gravitational pull does affect our tides and so does that of the sun but not as much.
And that “acceleration” is towards what?
If the moon has no gravity then how does it pull on the oceans, ponds, lakes, etc. back here on earth?
That’s what I thought.
For the same force, if the gravitational field intensity is g/6, then the acceleration must be 6 times.

johnsenkenn, Where is the center of gravity on Earth and where it the center of gravity on the moon? Think about it and tell me why you think because of 1/6g you will accelerate in forward motion and 6x the speed?

Just use your own judgment, look at all the data backing 6 moon landings and walks plus the other 3 orbits of the moon plus the testing done on even earlier Apollo missions. Now weigh that against a “hunch or belief” of the ones that claim it is fake and be the judge. I think you will see that there is way more proof of NASA providing factual information than the few LOUD ones that doubt it.
It would be way more complicated and costly to fake it than to actually go.

Who says that a flag needs wind to move? There IS gravity on the moon, it’s 1/6 of earths. But also, the reason that the flag moves is because of residual motion from the astronauts touching it. There is no atmosphere to slow the flag waving down.
There is much evidence confirming 100% we did go to the moon. For instance, there have been satellite images showing the lunar modules stil on the moon. Scientists from all over the world have studied the moon landings.

You cannot be in space unprotected against the sun. People there are coming by train to Tibet need to be protected against the sun, otherwise they would be blinded and rosted. Afer all, they weren’t on the Moon to try to convince uneducated people that they really were there. They were there to do as much scientific exploration that they could in a very short time. It was some VERY costly, scientific expeditions and no tourist-trips!
