jedwan I had a problem with my N97 where it wouldn’t ring or vibrate for any numbers when the keypad was locked. I took it to Phones4u (who I got the phone from) and they did a factory reset and it then worked.
Since taking it home I’ve realised that it now doesn’t ring or vibrate for private numbers or numbers that aren’t already saved in my phonebook.
In my General profile (the one currently activated) I have tried all of the following settings:
Ringing tone: Nokia tune.aac
Ringing type: Ringing
Ringing Volume: Maximum
Message alert tone: Message 1.aac
Key tones: Off/On
Vibrating alert: On
Video call tone: Nokia tune.aac
E-mail alert tone: Email 1.aac
Warning tones: On
Say caller’s name: Off/On
3-D ringing tone effect: Off/Zigzag
3-D ringing tone echo: Off/Railway station
Touch screen vibration: Level 1
Touch screen tones: On/Off
Alert for: All calls
I was on V11 firmware originally and it wasn’t working then. I’ve recently updated to V12 and it’s still doesn’t work.
I’ve changed profiles and it actually worked once on "Outdoor" but when I changed any of the inital settings, it stopped working again.
Does anyone have any ideas?
