Nokia 5800 Closing apps after opening

Hi, i have a problem with my 5800. When i open an app, ie the internet, Jukebox ect. It’ll start to open and then close down again back to the home screen.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I recently updated the firmware, would this have anything to do with the problem?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.
