Mobile Phone Monitor

Hi – can anyone help?  Ive just bought a 7100 supernova and its not being recognised for downloads by nokia.com – it asks me to search for my device but in the "device vendor" box it says "alcatel" and won’t seem to let me change it whatever key I press – any ideas?

 

also is there any way to stop the screen switching off after only a few seconds?  I can’t see any option to change the timing of that or disable it and its already driving me mad!
