I’ve been trying to get a hold of the Iphone 3GS for a little while, and I must say, Best Buy is really messing this up. 

 

First there is the issue that no one seems to know to be able to find out when more will come in stock, which everyone complains about.  I understand its drop shipped, is that the best way to sell a popular product? 

 

So, I have to resort to calling each Best Buy around my area.  Unfortunately, that doesnt work, because none of them answer the phone (4 different stores)!  I actually went in one day to talk to someone about getting the Iphone, and as I am talking, a BB employee walks up to listen to our conversation…with a ringing phone in her hand!  She stood there listening for a few minutes while the phone rang, which is really kind of frustrating.  She only answered it when I asked her if she was going to answer it!

 

So, now I have to resort to calling 888-best-buy.  Finally, they tell me yesterday that one of the BB’s near me has 10 in the model and color I want.  I call them a few times, and after finally picking up, they tell me they wont sell me an Iphone if I come in, because I didnt give them $50 for a pre-order!

 

Now, I understand how pre-ordering works, and that Apple/BB have this rediculous drop-ship agreement, but I really cant think of how they could make getting an Iphone more painful (insert horror story here).  No one can tell me when Iphones will be in stock, or when I’ll be allowed to buy one!  Help!
