been surfing the net for a few hours now and i can only find rather useless ‘reformat memory card’ and ‘reformat phone’ answers.
Â
ive been messing about with the mp3 tags on my memory card because the music player had a lot of unknown songs in it.
after refreshing the library it still had some playlists and songs in it that i already deleted via the mass storage connection.
Â
sooo..
what i did was delete the following files:
Â
e:private101FFC31mpxv1.mpd
e:private101FFC31pcv5.mpd
e:private101ffca9harvesterdb.dat
Â
after starting up the music player it went on building a new library and i got the ‘looking for new songs and podcasts’ msg.
after 3 hours i checked my phone and it still had that message on it.
there are only 4 GB of mp3s on it so i thought something was wrong and i canceled the process and manually refreshed the library.
it did find all the songs but now it doesn’t want to play any of them.
Â
* the memory card is ok. i checked it in another pc and all the mp3s play normally.
* the memorycard works in the phone because sygic mcguider is still working normally as well.
* when i remove the memcard and play a mp3 from the phone memory i get the same error.Â
* but when i select a mp3 with the file manager then it starts up the music player and… plays the mp3!
* when i exit the file manager i get the general error message again.
Â
N82 with latest firmware and 16 GB sandisk memory card.
