In search for a “Jasper” Xbox360

This morning I returned the Pro purchased last night, opened, but neither assembled nor run, and found another BB catch 22.  I had paid cash thinking what could besimpler, only to be informed that “corporate policy” is to mail me acheck.  I work in retail, but I’venever heard of this BS before.  In2001 I paid for a $50 item with a check, when I returned it I was told that BBwould mail me a check after 30 days to make sure my check had  cleared. I told them according to my bankit had cleared the 2nd day. It was basically: “that’s are policy & I don’tmake it -blah blah.”  After thisdebacle I didn’t set foot in a Best Buy until last December, I guess it will beanother 5 years before I set foot in one again. -Yes I now know the policy isin fine print on the back of the receipt. Could this be  part of BB’s war on terrorist moneylaundering?

After the above transaction I checked build dates on theother Pros in the store and they were all 11 11 08.  I then went to Phreyes and checked the Pros & Elites-same build date even on the “latest model” Elite bundled with Halo 3 and FableII Bundle.   Strangely enoughthe Arcades were from, I think it was, February or March 2009. Do the Arcadeshave the Jasper chipset? I have yet to locate a B&M store that has anyJasper Elites in LA, Ventura, or Santa Barbara Counties, & some stores arestill trying to unload the Lego IJ – KF Panda Elites. It would seem like MS isdumping old stock before ramping up for the 1/4-quarter onslaught &, or,making build changes.
